It's very difficult to get in contact with this people specially after making a payment to them.I have been trying to get in touch for the past two weeks and their line is always busy, honestly you are better off throwing the money in garbage.

I signed up to get the phone line of which I have had so far 6 number of which does not work !!!! I was told well it works as I have called you????

Yes but the inmate has not got through to me and now they have not only used his allowance up because he kept calling for the number VFI was meant to have given me they have not once said we will refund you!!!! They just ignore my online chat messages and now the allowance has run out so he is not able to call me now.

I am working on his case ( BTW this is a death row inmate in MD ) What a terrible company this is. Never will I recommend these scammers.

I send my son $100.00 through this organizaton in March 2010. I have not gotten any satisfactory answer to date 2/18/2011 as to what happened to it.

It was withdrawn from my bank account on March 10, 2011.

I called Inmate fund and they say they do not even accept money, they only accept money orders. Some one needs to investigat and see who's taking the money.

This company needs to be looked at by the attorney general, they are ripping people off.

I signed my friend up as basic member and then as their VFI plus member for one year which is supposed to allow more frequent email to inmate. We started sending more volume and as soon as VFI determined that it might cost them more postage than the usual VFI member, they started to label any excess email as "spam" to claim we were abusing their system and stopped sending my friend his email.

At 2000+members, VFI is profitable enough to afford a few heavy users.

We stopped using them before the subscription ran out, and they just kept the rest of the money. Now 5 months after it expired, people tell us that they still use VFI to email my friend, because VFI has not taken down his page or deleted his listing despite his no longer being a member. This is wreaking havoc with my friend's email, because any email sent him via VFI is not reaching him. I have written to Darnell previously, and he is so slimy (in my opinion) in his responses and avoids any responsibility.

VFI has a "D" rating with the Better Business Bureau and I can see why.

They are so eager to expand claimed services when they do not adequately service the customers in even basic services. Avoid them at all costs!!!

Then I suggest when someone sends you financial help they don't ask Darnell Barber to assist :)
